Spicy Chipotle Ketchup and Honey Chipotle Mustard Sauce for the Most Amazing Burgers

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. For us in the US, it was Memorial Day weekend. Aside from being thankful for all who gave their lives and service for our freedom…Memorial Day weekend being in May and the weather being so nice, it’s usually a great weekend for grilling! For our family, burgers! Burgers has got to be one of my favorite foods. I shamelessly ate In-n-Out burgers once a week for a while during my pregnancy, that is before I got hit with gestation diabetes, then I went protein style and still loved it.

As much as I love to cook, when it comes to making burgers and sauces, my husband has an edge over me. It’s probably because he is a bit more playful and bolder in terms of flavors which usually results in very good and exciting burgers. He usually stuffs his burger patties with some kind of cheese, so when you take a bite, the cheese is melted and you get a  burst of flavor when you take a bite. I love to put pepperoncinis on my burgers and grilled onions and that’s the exact same way I order my burger at In-n-Out…grilled onions, extra lettuce, and peppers. 😋

This weekend he made two sauces for our burgers. One he’s made before (the spicy chipotle ketchup) and another was a new creation. Both were delicious and he was kind enough to try to recollect the ingredients and measurements so I can share it here 😊. Just keep in mind the measurements were from his memory so you may have to play around and adjust ingredients after you make it to suit your preferences, which is always recommended anyways. Next time you make burgers and want to try something new, give these sauces a try and let me know how you like it!
